Nominations for RTS Innovation Awards 2009

RTS Innovation Awards are presented to recognise outstanding UK achievements in the development of new technologies in video production and distribution. The aim is to honour outstanding creativity in exploiting these developments in new forms of content.

RTS Innovation Award nominated Sex Education Show

The award categories are designed to emphasise the interdependence of content and technology in an expanding and changing world reaching out to new communities of users and new, often interactive, ways of communicating.

The RTS Innovation Awards will be presented in seven different categories. Among them is the User-Generated Content Award. In this category three interesting factual based projects are nominated.

Digital Stories are short, personal, multimedia scraps of TV that people can make for themselves. They're 'mini-movies'. Desktop computers enabled with video editing software are used to synchronise recorded spoken narratives with scans of personal photographs. Most Digital Stories are made by people attending workshops, where they can benefit from the help and advice of facilitators.
