More About EDN
EDN is a meeting point for all professionals, who work with documentary film and TV.
EDN has over 1000 members from more than 60 countries. They are production companies, producers, directors and other film professionals, distributors, associations, film institutions & boards, broadcasters, universities and festivals. EDN is open for both experienced and newcomers in the documentary field from the whole world.
The key service of EDN is to provide information to our members on:

- - the EU MEDIA Programme and other funding options

EDN publishes DOX magazine and The EDN Financing Guide.
EDN offers its members access to a lot of workshops, seminars and screenings that are organised all over Europe. A series of workshops has been set up in the South of Europe to support the development of the documentary genre: DOCSBarcelona, LisbonDocs, Pitching Forum in Thessaloniki, Documentary in Europe in Italy. The Baltic Sea Forum alternates between Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. All these workshops are organised with the support of the EU Programme of MEDIA. EDN also organises Twelve of the Future, a workshop for young Nordic talent.

EDN has organised and co-organised workshops, conferences and presentations in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, Holland, Belgium, France, Ireland, Northern Ireland, England, Scotland, Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Serbia-Montenegro, Slovenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Austria, Brazil, India, Israel, Canada. EDN co-organises the yearly Forum for Coproduction and Cofinancing at IDFA, Amsterdam. EDN receives a generous support from the Danish Film Institute. Activities are among others supported by the EU Programme of MEDIA, national funding mechanisms, the Nordic Film & TV Fund, AVEK, Finnish Film Foundation, Bundesamt für Kultur Switzerland & the Swedish Film Institute. The EDN office is situated in Copenhagen Denmark.
