Meet the Docs at European Film Market 2012

February 9-17, 2012. Berlin, Germany.
For the fourth time EFM and EDN are organising Meet the Docs at the European Film Market. It is a market service targeting everyone with an interest in the documentary genre. The online registration deadline for EFM is January 6th, 2012.
Meet the Docs adds an EFM market service for documentary professionals or professionals wanting to work with documentary. The umbrella stand will facilitate documentary sellers, buyers, producers and directors with meeting facilities, match making, networking and market information and serve as a network space and meeting point dedicated to documentary.
Please note that there is no separate registration procedure for the Meet the Docs initiative as this is an integrated service of the EFM. Here you can read about the registration for EFM.

All services offered by Meet the Docs are free of charges for EFM badge holders.
The Meet the Docs services include:
- - a networking space and meeting place dedicated to the documentary genre
- - specific information tools including lists of documentary films at the Berlinale and at the EFM, Buyers list, etc
- - ongoing individual consultancy provided by EDN experts
- - regular daily information sessions like Meet the Distributors & Meet the Festivals
Meet the Docs location at the EFM
The Meet the Docs umbrella stand will be located at Martin-Gropius-Bau, the main building of the EFM. The stand will be located at stand number: 201
All Meet the Distributors and Meet the Festivals sessions will take place at The EFM Lounge located at the 2nd floor of the Martin-Gropius-Bau building.
Meet the Distributors

February 11, 12, 13 and 14 at 14:00-15:00 in The EFM Lounge
In addition to the ongoing service provided at our stand we present the daily Meet the Distributors sessions on the central days of the market. At these sessions you will have the opportunity to meet three to four leading documentary distributors and sales agents on each day. The distributors will briefly introduce themselves, the profiles of their companies and what kind of documentaries they are looking for.

Meet the Festivals
February 11, 13 & 14 at 11:00 to 12:00 in The EFM Lounge
In addition to the ongoing services provided at our stand we present the daily Meet the Festivals sessions on the central days of the market. The sessions will be held in the EFM Lounge.
At each Meet the Festivals session we present four programmers from leading documentary film festivals. They will talk about the profile of their festival and what kind of documentaries they are looking for. For each session will also have a general discussion about festivals and what role they play on the documentary landscape.
