EDN @ MIPDOC 2012

EDN will be present for the 2012 edition of MIPDOC. EDN will be available for consultation meetings with EDN members as well as collaborate with the MIPDoc organisation on the programming of some the market activities as well as selection and moderation of The MIPDoc International Pitch.
MIPDoc brings together a great number of buyers and sellers in documentary programming, providing a forum to do business for international sales, an opportunity to be updated on the latest developments in the field as well as extend networking contacts.
Parallel to the screening and market facilities MIPDoc are organizing a conference and event program bringing up topics on production and distribution of documentaries. Trends in programming, co-production agreements and international financing are covered during the two days.
During MIPDoc 2012 EDN will be involved in:
- - The Producers' Room: Running sessions on international co-production and providing individual consultation.
- - The MIPDoc International Pitch: Selection of projects for the pitch and moderation of the live pitching session.

The MIPDoc International Pitch
The MIPDoc International Pitch is the annual competition open to all creators and producers looking for financing partners to develop their documentary projects. The submission deadline is February 21, 2012.
During The MIPDoc International Pitch the six best projects submitted will be pitched live in front of an international panel of commissioning editors and broadcasters. The pitch will take place on the first day of the 2012 MIPDoc, being Friday 30 March.
The live pitch session will gather an audience of producers, distributors and journalists from around the world. In addition a crowd-funding platform will be offered to each of the selected project teams to promote and get funds online.
