Storydoc 2011 - Second Session
November 28 - 30, 2011. Athens, Greece
Storydoc is an international training program in two parts, which takes place in Greece. 25 projects with a focus on the Mediterranean take part. The submission deadline was May 4th, 2011.
The two-part program of Storydoc is scheduled as follows:
- July 11 – 15, 2011 at Corfu, Greece
- November 28 – 30, 2011 in Athens, Greece
A special session took place in Ramallah March 25-27, from where 4 Palestinian projects were selected.
The first session
This was focused on treatments, scripts as well as on visuals, with a main focus on the creative process of developing a film project . Inspirational lectures was held on several documentary relevant subjects.
The second session
The workshop will be tutored by experienced documentary directors, commissioning editors, producers, editors and generalists. The session will focus on the development of the projects since the first session and on preparing the one-to-one meetings with the present commissioning editors and distributors.
The workshop will also hold lectures on subjects of relevance for documentary filmmaking and screenings and discussions of new documentaries.
Projects
All participating projects have a strong Mediterranean connection and the workshop is open to filmmakers from the region or filmmakers with a project that deals with the area as well as to Palestinian and other filmmakers from the region.
The projects are in a development stage and suitable for co-production. The seminar language is English..
