Lisbon Docs 2010

October 11 – 16, 2010.  Lisbon, Portugal

The annual pitching session Lisbon Docs is a great opportunity for you to pitch your documentary project to leading financiers as well as form new networks and alliances for future collaborations. So if you are a documentary maker with an international project in development Lisbon Docs is the place to be. Deadline for applying is extended to September 8.

Lisbon Docs is a documentary pitching session consisting of:

  •  - a pitching session and workshop
  •  - screenings of new films
  •  - master classes on international aspects of documentary making

During Lisbon Docs 21 documentary projects will be developed during the intense workshop, pitched to a panel of leading broadcasters and individually matched for meeting with potential collaborators.

Lisbon Docs is open for all European documentary professionals and has a limited number of seats for participants coming from outside Europe. Submissions are accepted from professionals, who want to take part in an intense creative dialogue and development process as well as present their project to potential financiers and co-producers. In the past Lisbon Docs has proven to be successful in pushing filmmakers into the international scene.

A limited number of observer seats will also be available. When participating as an observer you will take part in all sessions on equal terms with the pitching participants. The only difference is not having a concrete project developed and pitched.

The program

The workshop is taking place on October 12-14, but is kicked off with an intro dinner on the evening of the 11th.
